CURRENT AFFAIRS FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2020- CLASS- III

1.)  Maharashtra finished top on the medal tally of 3rd Khelo India youth games in Guwahati. Last year champion state retained its position with 78 gold, 77 silver, and 100 bronze.

2.)  Eminent Sindhi writer Vasdev Mohi will be conferred with 29th Saraswati Samman. He has been selected for this prestigious literary award for his short stories collection- Chequebook.

3.)  Makar Sankranti was celebrated on 15th January with religious fervour and enthusiasm in many parts of the country.

4.)  The festival of harvest, Lohri is being celebrated on 13th January in North India especially in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu and Chandigarh.
