1.)  India women T20I captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the most capped Indian in the shortest format of the game with 100th T20I match.
2.)  This year we celebrated Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary on 2nd October.
3.) This year we celebrated  Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's 115th birth anniversary on 2nd October also.
4.)  Businessman Mukesh Ambani continues to be the richest person in India according to business magazine Forbes.
5.)  MC Mary Kom settled for a bronze medal in the World Women's Boxing Championships after losing to Turkey's Busenaz Cakiroglu in the semifinal bout at Ulan Ude in Russia.
6.)  The BJP's Manoharlal Khattar took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for a second term.
7.)  Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the highest bridge in India named after the “Lion of Ladakh” Col Chewang Rinchen. It stands at 14,650 feet across the Shyok river.
