3.)  Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flagged off the all-women team of the 'Navika Sagar Parikrama' in Panaji Goa. This is the first- ever Indian circumnavigation of the globe by an all-women crew.
4.) India's first advanced Homoeopathy Virology lab is inaugurated in Kolkata. 
5.) The International Olympic Committee formally announced that the 2024 Summer Olympic will be held in Paris, while Los Angeles will be hosting the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. 
6.) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe lay the foundation of India's first bullet train project in Ahmadabad. 
7.) PV Sindhu beat world champion Nozomi Okuhara of Japan by 22-20, 11-21, 20-18 to win the women's singles title at the Korea Open Superseries.  She is the first Indian to win the Korea Open. 
8.) Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurates world's second biggest dam the "Sardar Sarovar Dam". It has been constructed on the river Narmada. The 1.2 Km long dam, which is 163 metres deep, will irrigate 18 lakh hectares in Gujrat. 
9.) India's first electric bus service launched at Rohtang Pass area in Himachal Pradesh. 
10.) India's first ingenuously built INS Kalavari submarine handed over to Indian Navy by state-owned Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai.
11.) Amit V Masurkar directed film "Newton" will be India's official entry to the Oscar for next year.
12.) Bharat Ratna Prof C.N.R. Rao has won the Von Hippel Award. He is the first Asian to be chosen for the honour. This is the highest international prize in materials research. 
13.) Kandla Port trust situated on the Gulf of Kutch in Gujrat is renamed as Deendayal Port Trust. 
14.) Five new governors have been appointed for the states of Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. BD Mishra has been appointed as Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. Satya Pal Malik appointed as the Governor of Bihar, Jagdish Mukhi appointed as Governor of Assam, Banwalilal Purohit as the Governor of Tamil Nadu and Ganga Prasad appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya.
